NEA JAZZ MASTER DICK HYMAN FELL IN LOVE WITH JAZZ BECAUSE OF THE SWING LEGEND, BIX BEIDERBECKE.

I still play them, and I know them all very well. The remarkable thing about records is that they keep on working. Years later, I still hear the same—same performance. It’s—it’s magic, really.

THIS JAZZ MOMENT WITH PIANIST DICK HYMAN WAS PRODUCED BY THE NATIONAL ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS.
