Interagency Task Force on Arts & Human Development Webinar: Arts and Digital Learning
The August 1, 2012, Task Force webinar focused on how arts educators can reach youth who are immersed in today's interconnected, multimedia environment. Sunil Iyengar, NEA director of the Office of Research & Analysis, opened the webinar with a brief update on the work of the Task Force. Marsha Semmel, Director of Strategic Partnerships, Institute of Museum and Library Service (IMLS) gave an overview of The MacArthur Foundation--IMLS Learning Labs Project and introduced the main presentation: "Digital Learning and the Learning Labs Project" conducted by Mimi Ito, Research Director for the Digital Media and Learning Hub at the University of California Irvine and Ryan Hill, Director of Digital Learning Programs and Hirshhorn Museum's ArtLAB+ program. The webinar concluded with a brief Q&A session.
