The Arts in Healthcare is an international movement that works to infuse the full spectrum of the arts into healthcare settings, including design, visual, performing and literary arts, resulting in programs and healthcare environments that are welcoming and uplifting for caregivers, patients, their families and visitors.

The arts in healthcare encompass a broad array of approaches that take place in both inpatient and outpatient settings including hospitals, rehabilitation centers, hospices, mental health facilities, community health centers, nursing and convalescent homes, assisted living facilities, and private practices. The Office for AccessAbility has compiled some examples of outstanding arts programs from around the country to encourage and assist the development of similar activities.
