Westcott House Foundation
The NEA grant will support community engagement, design, and strategic planning activities to establish the Westcott Center for Architecture + Design in Springfield, Ohio. The new center will provide expanded space to host exhibitions and programming for the Westcott House, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. Renowned architect Peter Bohlin will design the center to spur cultural tourism and offer additional space for cultural programming that serves both visitors and residents. Westcott House Foundation will lead the project, in partnership with Springfield City Schools District, Global Impact STEM Academy, Ohio State University Extension Office, Miami University, and other nonprofit arts organizations. The broader Springfield community of 60,608 residents will have the opportunity to inform the creative process through workshops and focus groups.
