Bio

Frank Stella is acclaimed as one of the world's most innovative artists. His work often transcends boundaries between painting, printmaking, sculpture, and architecture—reinventing itself in consecutive series over the course of his five-decade career. In 1970 at the age of 34, he was the youngest artist ever to receive a retrospective of his work. He remains the only living American artist to be honored with two retrospectives at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. His work is represented in all the major museums and collections around the world.
