Requesting a waiver: Literature Fellowships

If you are unable to submit your application electronically, you may request a waiver. A waiver will be granted for the following reasons only:

  • Internet access is not available within a 30-mile radius of your address.
  • Disability prevents you from submitting your application electronically.

Your waiver must be submitted in writing and addressed to the Deputy Chairman for Programs and Partnerships, Attention: Grants.gov Waiver Request, National Endowment for the Arts. You must fax your request to 202/682-5660 at least three weeks before the application deadline, or no later than 5:30 p.m., Eastern Time, February 19, 2014.

In the event a waiver is granted, your complete paper application package must be postmarked (or show other proof of mailing) no later than March 12, 2014. The waiver notice will provide you with our current mailing address.
