The American Visionary Art Museum opened its doors to the public on November 24, 1995. The main quarters of the museum (pictured) transformed a historic industrial building into the new museum space with updated architectural elements. The Community Mosaic Wall covering the street-side exterior of the American Visionary Art Museum's main building is the largest mosaic in the United States designed and executed by youth-at-risk student artists.
