Update: HUD Sustainable Communities Regional Planning Grant NOFA

With the August 23, 2010, deadline for the HUD Sustainable Communities Regional Planning Grant NOFA only 20 days away, here's an update and reminder from HUD:

1. Register with grants.gov today! Registration is easy, but it takes several days to process. You can register on the grants.gov website.

2. Mark your calendar for an August 5, 2010 webinar on data and geography needs for the Sustainable Communities Regional Grant Program. On Thursday, August 5, 2010 from 1-2pm EDT, HUD, the Urban Institute, and the National Association of Development Organizations will host a webinar designed to address common questions and guidance on providing the data needed to tell your regional story. You can go here to register.

3. Visit the updated program FAQs. HUD has posted a significantly updated Frequently Asked Questions with anwers specifically targeted to address data requirements in the NOFA. Also new on the website are an updated instruction guide and an enhanced data resource page. More questions? Contact sustainablecommunities@hud.gov.

4. The Rating Factor form has been changed. In order to align the data collection required of applicants with the intention of NOFA, some small changes have been made to the Rating Factor form for factor #2. You can download the revised form at grants.gov.
