Ready, Set, Read...at the National Book Fest!
2010 National Book Festival Poster by Peter Ferguson
So a Nobel Laureate, a Pulitzer Prize winner, and the poet who wrote and recited the official poem for President Barack Obama's inauguration walk into a tent...and lucky for us, that tent will be the pavilion hosted by the National Endowment for the Arts at this year's National Book Festival. Sponsored by the Library of Congress, the free book fest will take place on the National Mall in Washington, DC, on Saturday, September 25, 2010.
Among the more than 70 writers and illustrators presenting during the event are Orhan Pamuk, Elizabeth Alexander, Rae Armantrout, Jonathan Franzen, Gail Godwin, Allegra Goodman, Chang-rae Lee, Thomas Mallon, Jane Smiley, and Natasha Trethewey, all of whom will read in the NEA's tent.
