Boy, does time fly! We're just a couple of days away from the fall meeting of the National Council on the Arts.

The public session will take place on Friday, October 29 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. And don't worry if you can't join us in person at the Old Post Office building in DC---we're webcasting the whole thing! Just go to www.arts.gov on Friday morning for a link that will take you right into the webcast.

What's on the agenda? A presentation on our first-of-its-kind, new research report---Live from Your Neighborhood: A National Study of Outdoor Arts Festivals, with special guests from Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival and North Carolina's Lake Eden Arts Festival. We'll also hear from Ann Markuson on creative placemaking, and how arts and culture impact a community's livability.

Visit our News Room for more information, including the complete meeting agenda.
