What We Talk About When We Talk About the Arts
December 16, 2009
The archives of the two recent NEA webcasts are now available in the Research section of the NEA website.
The Cultural Workforce Forum was a day-long series of presentations and discussions about America's artists, other cultural workers, and how art works as a part of this country's real economy. Academics, foundation professionals, and service organization representatives participated in the Forum.*
On December 10, we hosted an in-depth conversation and review of the newly-released 2008 Survey of Public Participation in the Arts, the nation?s largest and most representative study of adults? arts participation habits. Representatives of national arts service organizations, state and regional arts organizations and NEA?s discipline directors joined Arts Endowment Senior Deputy Chairman Joan Shigekawa in this unprecedented discussion of the Survey.
We look forward to seeing your comments on these two meetings.
